UBA Uganda Key Services
UBA Uganda is a commercial bank licensed by the Bank of Uganda. It’s part of UBA Group, a pan-African banking group operating in ~20 countries plus offices in the UK, USA, France, and Dubai.
The bank serves individuals, small & medium enterprises (SMEs), large corporates, institutions and government entities.
Personal / Retail Banking Services

Agent Banking
UBA uses agents (third party retailers) to extend banking services to underserved or remote areas. Agents provide services like deposits, withdrawals, balance enquiry, payments etc

Payments of public utilities and taxes e.g., UMEME (electricity), NWSC (water), KCCA services, URA (taxes) etc.

Regulatory & Market Standing
UBA Uganda is a Primary Dealer of Government Securities, meaning it participates in issuance/trading of Treasury Bills and Bonds. This allows UBA to facilitate clients’ participation in government debt instruments.
As of end of 2023, UBA Uganda had assets of approx USh 623.093 billion (~ US$164.235 million) with shareholders’ equity of ~ USh 37.6 billion.
