DJI MAVIC PRO
👎 Things to Consider / Downsides
Aging Tech: It’s not the newest model; newer drones may offer better sensors, more battery time, better low-light performance.
Camera Limitations: The sensor size, lens, etc., may limit performance especially in low light; you might have more noise or less detail compared to more modern drones.
Regulation & Repair Parts: Sometimes older models face more difficulty getting firmware updates, spare parts, or compatibility with newer accessories.
Battery & Runtime vs Real Conditions: The advertised flight time is under ideal conditions; winds, payload, altitude etc. reduce it.
Risk of Obsolescence: Features, flight-modes, or standards may get deprecated; newer models might have better obstacle avoidance, better transmission tech, etc.
🎯 So, should you buy it?
You might want the Mavic Pro if:
You want a balance: good video/photo quality without paying premium for the latest drone.
Portability (you travel a lot) is important.
You don’t need ultra-high specs (night filming, ultra slow mo, huge image sensors).
You need trustworthy “smart/automation” features (follow-me, etc.) but aren’t pushing the envelope.
If your priorities are top-tier image quality, long flight time, or features like 360° obstacle avoidance, higher res sensors, newer video codecs, then a more modern drone might serve you better in the long run.
